Step Bars
So Im considering getting some chrome step bars for my truck.
does anyone have pictures handy of what they will look like on a '94 reg cab?
and how hard was the install?
any recommendations for Brands/where to buy from?
/ahh question overload
/system abort.
Thanks

I had some when I bought my truck. And I'll sell 'em too for $100 obo+shipping(if the current deal falls through, I'm not sure what's going on with it). Westin Chrome Nerf Bars, off my '91 reg cab.

Lemme know if the pix don't show.
Westin is a good brand from everything I've seen on newer trucks, one of the more expensive better ones? Just what I've read. I can't comment on how hard they are to put on, but taking 'em off was easy as all hell. There's 2 brackets, the back brackets around the frame, the front bolts up to a cab mount I think (I'll crawl under and look, but it was sturdy as hell) and then an adjustment thing that's hanging under the front side of the door. Took me 5 minutes a side to take off, Probably 10 a side to put em on. Mine are hollow 3 inch tube, weigh 16 pounds, so they won't crush you. Just use a milk crate or something to hold the side you're not bolting on up

Yeah i was looking at westin, and im debating between bars and new headlights, or both!, cause my headlights are way too dull and theres moisture in my passenger one.
ebay is like a warzone with truck headlights. theres over 17,000 different sales just for 92-96 f-series
but prices for step bars ive seen from $100 to over $475

My Nerf Bars are the same as mustangGT90210 took off.
I'm satisfied with mine,
it took me several hours to read the directions and install them years ago.

My step Bars do not sag at all.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
One picture shows how it's attached at the rear cab corner,
many Nerf Bars that I've seen; do not have this attachment point,
or it was not installed as the directions said...
FYI - The silver hex spacer in the picture that screws to the underside of the truck floorboard
(Rear Cab Corner)
it has a Fine thread on one end and a Coarse thread on the other end.
The Coarse threaded end of the hex spacer/coupling screws to the coarse thread screw coming through the floorboard, that is already there on these trucks.
The Fine thread on the other end is the attaching point for the bolt holding the bracket.

I can jump on either of my step-bars and neither sag, and I weigh 212 lbs.

Thanks!
My truck is in 4th place in Truck of the Year,
it's hard to compete with 08's & 10's.
