starting problems
The 5.8 & 5.0 H.O. has the 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 firing order. The regular 5.0 & 7.5 has the 1-5-4-2-6-7-8 firing order. So yeah the cams are different between the two 5.0s. I don't think any of these trucks came from the factory with H.O.s although a lot have been swapped into them.
But grizzly93 glad your about to get it running. On the pump some of the ones that you get from the part houses are just the pump that can be put in the housing some are the ones that are in the housing. Just make sure that the one you picked up is the right one for your truck. Do you have the part# for the new pump?

no they didint start using the old 351 firing order again on the REGULAR NON- HIGH OUT PUT 302's until 94 i checked on my stepdads truck
but ok conclusion/ update fuel pump problem solved the fuel pump i got from my buddy was out of either a 86/87/88 f150 which requires 2 pumps low in tank high on frame i went to pull it yard and picked up a high pressure pump for $25 it actually came off the truck my motor came out of haha well now i got plenty of pressure at the fuel rail but.. yes unfortunately theres a but. still not starting acts like its fixing to then quits i know my timings right but im not sure if my injectors are firing at the right time but also like u said Nighthawk jr someone could have installed a H.O cam in the truck so i guess later once my better charges up again ill switch some plugs around and see what i get i mean its worth a shot.. and speaking of shot i really wish i could have shot the boy who traded me this truck it was in perfect running order when i first did trade except for an over heating problem but he failed to check and add oil which led me to getting a new motor but i gotta admit its getting fun and im actually learning more working on this truck then i did in my 4 years of auto classes in high school lol but if anyone has a solution to the new ( fuel+spark+right timing = no start) please let me know
