Should be direct swap, but you might want to change gears, the c6 has higher gears than the od, c6 usually 2.73-3.23 where the od's are 3.55-4.11 but some c6 trucks use 3.55 for towing, for alot of hiway driving you might want the higher gears.

The rear Drive-shaft will be a different length,
the front drive-shaft may fit though?

The transmission cross-mount may be different?

The C6 shifting is vacuum controlled, you will need to run a small diameter vacuum line/hose from the engine to the modulator on the side of the C6 transmission.

If you have 3.55's and run 33's, except for poor fuel mileage, 3.55's will be okay,
if you have higher gears due to your previous OD transmission setup, the 5.8L will still have enough power.

If the truck has 3.55, they would work, 3.73 have to watch the rpm at highway speeds.
