Its for a 95 f-150 The starter is in great shape except for the gear.
It got scrapped out when the engine went into vapor lock

Just looked at my starter it has a 10 tooth and the one at the link is a 12
might work?

 

If it doesn't have the same amount of teeth then it won't work, or if it does it will be noisy and damage the flywheel. You used to be able to buy starter rebuild kits for cheap, but I haven't seen them in years.

 

Yeah I know I have not come across any rebuild kits.

It sucks this starter has so much more life now I have to trade it in
and that's $119 I do not have
