Default Spindle Nut help

well ive had my fornt end apart a million times and recently found out that my truck has the wrong spindle nut on it and explains why i cant find a socket to fit it right, someone put ranger nuts on it i think, anyway im going to by new ones nut need to know how they go on. the picture looks like there are 2 nuts per side and one lock ring. i think i read somewhere that once the bearing is in you install one nut then the lock right and the other nut then the rest of the hub assembly, does any one know the truth maybe pics or diagram and spec on torque setting?

And this would be on your Camry? Your Veyron? Your Porsche? All wheel drive? Does your Porsche have an Automatic or is it those flappy paddle things behind the steering wheel?

I just can't tell by the details in your description.

I'm guessing a 95 F150 with a 5.0

Yeah it's the bearing, a thrust washer, locknut, lockwasher, then locknut. Not sure on torque.

well pretty sure since this is a ford f150 forum and i posted in the 87-96 f150 slims it down pretty good since my picture is of my truck and u should be able to tell by looking at it from the head lights that its at least a 92-96 and considering those years all have the same front end i guess its pretty narrowed down, seems like the guy after you figured it out

And I am assuming 4X4. There used to be a different nut setup between auto and manual hubs.

So, you're saying no Veyron? Well that sucks.

FWIW, my point is that details are important when you're asking for help. I'm assuming your truck is 4X4 and assuming that because I am assuming the picture in your avatar is your truck.

There would be a difference between 4X4 and 4X2 as well so don't be so defensive. Do it right the first time and you'll not have people assuming you drive an Exotic Supercar.

I don't know about you but the F150 FORUM is for Ford f-150s not much of anything else and yeah he should have said the year and if its 4x4 but just shouting that you can't possibly figure out that is for a ford f150 qith in the year range of 87-96 well that's just plain retarded

I may be wrong but I'm thinking only the Dana 50 had the double locknut set up.

Looked up the torque spec. It's giving 60 ft.lbs. on the spindle nuts

It was an attempt at levity used to point out that more details are needed. Who's shouting? Would a retard use words like "Levity"?

The Manual, you should have one (Mine is a Haynes), shows A grease cup closest to the hub, then the bearing, followed by the thrust washer, Locknut, Lockwasher, and then Locknut. In that order.
