Speedometer Not Working

Exclamation Speedometer Not Working

I have a 1995 F150 XLT 4.9L, the speedometer is not working along with the mileage gauge, i have bought a new one, and still doesn't work... Any ideas???

Check fuses my 92 did that it was a fuse

If its not the fuse, it will be the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)

Or the wires goin to the vss or the whole guage cluster i replaced them all

ive checked both fuses, they were fine, and now my oil gauge is freaking out, im more focused on getting the speedo fixed at the moment, where is the VSS??

Right on top of the axle housing, also called the ABS sensor

i believe the previous owner replaced the abs sensor

You sure the fuse is good? Do your interior lights/warning buzzer still work?

If its not the fuses then check the wiring for frayed wires, but i'd double check that VSS is working, good way to test is with a multimeter and the sensor should be within 190-250 ohms

well there is no bulb and i believe i messed up the buzzer when i replaced the bearings in the column but it didnt work before hand and im sure its not the fuse.... i have no clue what to do next...
