Default Smog pump differences?

Hey guys. I've been chasing a squeak for many months and it always evades me when I'm trying to find the source. It has finally gotten bad enough that I was able to determine the source. When I turn my smog pump pulley by hand, it squeaks. So I would like to replace it. I know quite a few of you guys would probably suggest that I remove it, but I want to keep my truck factory for simplicity sake. A reman pump from the parts store or RockAuto is around $150 so I was thinking about buying one from a salvage yard since the going price for used ones is close to $20. However, I'm having a difficult time locating one off a 92 5.0 F150. I assume I can use a pump off other years, but I just wanted to make sure I can before I get the wrong pump. I found one off an 89 f150 5.0. Will it work?

As always, thanks for the help!

Part numbers are the same for both applications.

I decided to buy a new pump because I didn't want to have to put multiple used ones on the truck until I found one that doesn't squeak. Ordered one from RockAuto and when I opened the box, this sticker was on the top of the pump. Name: IMG_20160408_172406334_zpsqnh4hvpa.jpg

So I bought a new one so I wouldn't have to listen to a squeak, and now it's telling me it might squeak for 500 miles??? Somehow I don't think that's right. I'm by no means an expert but I've never heard of bearings squeaking until they break in? When turning the old and new pumps by hand next to each other, the new pump had a much louder scrapping noise. I went ahead and installed and it chirps occasionally like the old one did before it got real bad. I'm watching the odometer and once it hits 500 it better be quiet.

I put 1200 miles on the new smog pump and it got as bad as the old one. Squeaks really bad at idle and low rpms cruising. I can't get a refund on the pump, only an exchange and I have to ship it back before they will send another one. So, I was given an old used one from a late 80s 5.8L f150 and i put it on for temporary, but it's different than the my original one. It appears to have two outlets and one inlet? My original one has a big inlet and a small 90 degree outlet, but the used one it got as a bit inlet and two strait outlets. I plugged one of the small ones and hooked the other two up how they are on the original one. Can anyone confirm for me what the 3rd nipple is for? Dual exhaust verses single?

You should just delete it for simplicity...seems like replacing it has not been simple..

Must have rubber seals for the bearings that have to 'wear in' for a perfect fit ?

I cant find a smog pump eliminator bracket anywhere... They make them for Mustangs and usually you can buy Dead pulleys to put in their place but I cant find one for these.

Some Trucks didn't come with AC or Smog, so you can route the belts differently. However, these trucks must have both to operate, there is no other way besides redoing the whole front accessory drives.

Im deleting mine, its almost done, AC too. Im using the pumps so the belt keeps same as factory position etc, but nothing gis hooked up to them.
