Default shaking bad on acceleration????

1993 f150 5.0/aod/ 2wd

runs fine and is smooth as can be whilke.keeping it at a steady speed (40-50mph) .. The second you start accellerating, the front end jumps and shakes terribly. When it does this.id.say its still.running fine but maybe picks up a bit of sluggsihness to it.
What should I be looking for? No CEL. not sure if it is a motor issue or something else

Suggest one of the many possibilities is the throttle position sensor (TPS), similar past event on my '89 where that was the cause, although it did eventually throw a code.

You might be getting cross fire on your plug wires. Check out post number 8 at this thread. https://www.f150forum.com/f10/seeing...k-plug-266872/
Another way to troubleshoot cross fire is to watch for arcing at night.
I had a bad distributor cap on a truck, other than Ford brand, cause this symptom. To get it home, I sprayed WD 40 in the distributor cap. Moisture was getting in the distributor cap.

Default Follow up.. possible fiel problem? and what is this light?

Follow up; thw transmission fluid and filter were changed last year. I went through my distributor cap, rotor, and check all the wires. I made sure they were ran according to the post showing wire placement. still has the sluggish/ shaking problem.
1st issue: What is this dash light? (pic included) when i was testing and driving it came on(and seemed to run a little better) for about 10 minutes while driving. then the light went outt and it seemed to run a little worse. It looks like an air bag light??? but my tru k is a 93, no air bag.

2nd issue) thinking maybe the shaking qas starving for fuel, i hooked up a gauge to the port on the rail, taped it to the window, and went for a drive. I should say within the last 2 years i have replaced the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel filter. With the key on i have 35 psi. Running and idling it drops off to about 28-29 psi. While driving and keeping it at a steady speed it is back to about 35 psi. punch it down and it is slow to react but it does come on strong at about 40 psi. Wjen you let off the pedal after this it falls off to about 29 psi. When you steadily accelerate and it starts shaking, the fuel pressure guage needle shakes hard as well, bouncing between 36-38 psi. Does any of this indicate a certain area i should look for?

So first off, someone replaced your guage cluster bezel with one that has the airbag indicator. 92-93 trucks should have a battery indicator where your airbag indicator is.

That means that you have a battery/charging issue. When I first got my truck, I had the same indicator on and I was only able to drive about a mile before the truck would stumble, jerk and die. I thought it was the fuel pump so I replaced that. The fuel pump was not the issue so I replace the alternator. Nothing. Tracked it down to a bad eyelet connector on the alternator charging wire on the battery side of the solenoid.
