Default Seeking Help with Front end facelift

I want to paint my bumper and side mirrors black. What is the best way to remove the chrome and prep the metal surfaces?

Thanks in advance

Rub it down with a real fine sandpapaer to just lightly scuff the surfaces for paint.

X2. As long as you get the chrome scuffed up good enough, the paint will stick to it fine and you wont need to get it all off

Sandblasting. I wouldn't paint over chrome.

Sandblasting would be the easiest. But if you don't have the means to get it sandblasted, you could always go at it with some 30 or 40 grit sandpaper.

Unfortunately, I don't have the means to get it sandblasted, would you recommend using an electric sander or random orbital or by hand to proceed with the sanding? Thanks

Whichever you can get your hands on. If you're gonna color sand it after you paint it, a random orbit sander would be better.
