Default Replaced Slave Cylinder - Now Clutch Problems

I have a 94 F150 with the 6 cylinder 300ci and 5 spd mazda transmission.

I've recently replaced the slave cylinder now I can't get the clutch to disengage. I figured that it wasn't bled enough so I've spent a few hours bleeding and rebleeding with no luck. I have a video that I will have to post at home (at work now). But I can see the slave cylinder working through the the view port on the bell housing. It looks like it should have enough travel. The slave cylinder I put on was a Perfection brand. I also ended up having to change the clutch line (it was stuck in the old slave) and I found out that the master cylinder was slowly leaking through the firewall so that is new as well.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Stop opening the bleeder and just pump it. It takes forever, especially if you keep opening the bleeder.

Power bleeder works wonders if you do it by yourself..

Shouldn't have had to replace the line unless it was broken. Is your o-ring seated properly in the new master cylinder? Replaced my slave cylinder 2 months ago. I let gravity do the work. Open your bleeder at the cylinder and open the cap on the master. Keep filling with fluid until it runs clear. Don't let the master run dry or you'll be right back at square one. After you get everything buttoned back up. pump the hell out of it. Starting slow and gradually working up to steadier. That will do it everytime. Good luck.

thanks everyone for the quick reply.

So as I'm pumping the clutch I'm assuming I leave the master uncapped so I can monitor the fluid level. Is that correct or does it matter?

And yea the line was broken once I got done trying to rip it out of the old slave.

Yes I did leave the cap off the master while I was pumping. Even if you only get enough air out to drive it the rest will work out as you drive.

I followed the procedure in the repair manual. It worked beautifully the first time.

I do not remember.

A repair manual would be the best 12 bucks you ever spent.
