rear end identification?

how do you figure out what kind of rear end you have?

look at the door tag, under axle code. 18 is 3.07, 19 is 3.55, h9 is 3.55 ls, h92 is 3.55 ls front and rear.

no i mean like is it a dana, 8.8", 9" etc.... i want to get a rear diff cover and idk which one to get.

how many splines are on these axles? where do you recommend for new gear sets?i think 4.10s would greatly help!
