Default LED light strips

Well I might get mixed feedback on this but installed blue led light strip under my driver side and passenger side dash. Really like the look of it. Got it wired to only come on when the dome lights come on( open door, turn ****) what's everyone's opinion ??

I traced the wire from the lights in the door to under the dash and just wired it in that

Did you just cut it and wire them in? They would be useful at night, especially if you drop something, and they look cool lol
