Question rear end?

I know nothing about rear ends and I've got a 2wd w/ a 302 on 35's. What rear end best suits my needs?

Default Well.......

I'm trying to get both rear wheels to spin at the same time. I've got limited slip in my 1995 f150 2wd and I am about to run 35's. I also pull a camper and a trailer pretty regularly. So if that helps.

lols, changing your gearing wont make both tires spin. if you have a true limited slip, it should do it. is it a factory limited slip or did you install it?

Question See?

I don't know the first thing about rear ends, it's factory. Someone suggested that I go with a 4.56 rear end, and i have no idea what that means.

hmm... well. 4.56 rear end would put you NEAR your factory gear ratio with 35s, maybe a little lower. so 4.56 probably wouldnt be a bad choice.

and about your limited slip. my guess is its probably worn out. might be time to get it rebuilt if possible, or just get a new one.

gears itself arent that expensive. ~$160 or so. and a limited slip... a good quality one ~$400+.

installation is where they get you. our shop charges $500 to do them. but then again, it takes me forever to do them right since i dont have all the right tools.
