Sorry Bosshog, I was never aware of that change and as much as I've been around these trucks I did not know about the frame rail pump issue. Even Haynes never made mention to my knowledge. I just never owned one, but have worked on some. Sorry again for the confusion.....

Pull the Bed! I have 4 hooks in my garage I hook ratchet straps to so I can lift the bed off by myself. just back the truck in and unbolt the bed, hook on the ratchet straps, crank the bed up and then drive out. I'm down to the rear tank with a new pump. the front tank is gone and I had to replace the wire connection to the rear pump. these trucks are not all that complicated and if all else fails just start replacing parts from a pick your part yard.
