The gas tanks are different for the stepsides.

personally i like the stepsides better but i have only seen maybe a handful of them and i would love to find one in 4x4 and a 5 spd

There's a red Ext cab flare side 5 spd for sale in mn for 2500 lifted six inches with 33s on it. Its ******* if you ask me.

yes but still works for the swap. You do have to change the filler necks though

Looking at how my style side works. Yes there is no way the filler neck from a style side to flare side will work.

I have a "purple" truck too. However most of the time it looks blue. It is only when it's in direct sunlight that it looks purple. It defiantly turns heads! These pics were taken around dusk, and it looks a bit more blue then purple. I'd say leave it alone. If you paint it and don't do it all, then every time you open your door, or hood, you will see the purple.
