Question rare?

Either tomorrow or Thursday I'm going to go check out a 1992 F150. It has the 351 windsor, a step side bed and oh yeah its purple. Ok I'm not thrilled with the color but I like the rest of the truck. I know I can repaint it, it does need a small amount of body work anyways. Now I have never seen another truck like this, is it rare or just not many sold like this?

1992 just beeing a 5.8L puts you in the 14% of what Ford put out in their 1992 F-150's if it is a 2WD. If it is a 4WD then you are in the 27%. Just by your engine if that makes you feel special. Now this is assuming you have H as the 8th digit in your VIN. (That it really did come from Ford that way).

I'd keep it purple, honestly... keep it all factory, the more rare it is, should it all match numbers.

I know the step side was not unheard of but they was not that popular either. But after talking to the owner I've decided not to get it. Only cause they did not want to do a trade and that was the only way I could of gotten it. Also I'm planning on heading back to Ca at the end of the summer so getting to keep it while out there would pose many problem.

Sweet strictly bolt on? No fabrication needed? I am having trouble finding the box in my area. I did find one but the cost of the box and gas would have been like 800 bucks. Way too much for me to put into it lol.
