Default random connector, ign switch, and ect questions

i have this connector in my engine bay, not hooked up to anything.
it has roughly ~12 ish guage wire, one black and one black with yellow stripe.
as you can see in the picture, its near the oil filter/ steering box area.

my only codes are for running rich and evp flow less than spec, i dont know if this has anything to do with those.

my ignition switch seems messed up, but works flawlessly. i think its the reason i talked the guy down so much haha. after turning the truck on, the abs light stays illuminated and no accessories work, including turn signals or reverse lights. i have to press the release button to make them all work. which i realized about a week after.

finally, where is the temperature sensor for the guage? mine never goes past like an eighth, and i want to test the sensor. i know the one off of the thermostat housing, but it seems like that is for the ecu, and somedata's wiring says the guage one is supposed to have a red wire going to it, which this one does not.

the truck is an 89, with the L6 and 4-speed.
thanks in advance guys!

the truck did not come with AC from the factory. aren't the a/c clutch connections typically 1-wire, however?

my ac clutch electrical connector is a 2 wire. I would take a good guess that mite be what that connector is for.

That's for the a/c compressor. What codes did you get? Sensor for the gauge is passenger side rear of the block up near the head.

No problem.

I'm thinking something is making the truck run rich and the computer is pulling the EGR shut as tight as it can. My first thought is to check the fuel pressure and the regulator.

the egr is still vacuum controlled though, isnt it? the evp is just a position sensor, vref, signal, and ground. did pinpoint test DN1 and got code 35, with the result replace evp and retest. the egr has a vac line that goes to a TVS right under it.
