I have 5% on the back and 20% on the sides. At dark, it is hard to see. Backing up is a pain in the ***. Thankfully I have a sliding back window. Often, even when backing out of my own driveway, I have to roll my windows down to see to back up. It's a narrow driveway with a 3.5 foot drop off on one side, and the house on the other. I have fallen off once, and it wasn't a pretty sight.

Now if you don't mind the having to roll down your windows at dark to back up, or sliding your back window to see out of it, then go dark as you want to.

Just check with your local state laws and determine how dark you can go before it becomes a strain on your wallet. I had 1 ticket in 2.5 years for my side windows. $127.50 in iowa.

Right! well legally as i have been told i can do 35% all the way around as far as sides and rear, or 20% back 50% sides. I have 35% on the back of my 87 and yes i have had to slide the rear glass open on occasion, and no tint on the sides. the truck i am wanting to tint has full view rear glass no slider! just wondering if anyone has done 35% both sides and rear?

thanks

I am about to have 5% all the way around and 45% on the windshiled. On my ranger i had 5% and 35% on windshield. make sure you do the same percentage from front to back. It looks a lot better. I like the windows dark. I have friends with 20% and it looks good as well. just personal prefernce and state laws

Odd, I have 15% all around on my Infiniti and I can see just fine at night. Yes it's 15% saw the box and from the outside it is BLACK.

I'm downstate from you, never a hassle yet.

Why would you mention state laws when your tint is illegal in your state?

To give the guy good info? Just because he isnt following the laws doesnt mean he cant warn other people about them in case they want to.
