Checked all that. The truck ran great today. With zero problems. I picked up an alternator and a thermostat today. The previous owner said he had the same problem with it. He fixed it by putting a used alternator on it. Yes my worries continue.... who puts a used alternator on these days? I'l let you all know, and thanks again for all the help.

Changed the alternator and seems like it is fixed. New thermostat also helped keep the cab nice and warm. Thanks for all the help. It is much appreciated.

Well almost! Truck was still stalling and the heat worked great for a while... changed the heater core today and great heat! Also changed coolant temp sensor to the ecm. So far so good. I hope.
