Default Power Steering death

My babys power steering has always had problems it whined, burned new fluid, and as of a few months ago devolved a small leak. But tonight it moved up var far on my "to do" with a major leak coming from the gear box Any one know the fix for this I'm hoping the worst is the power steering pump but if anyone knows anything else I should expect or, God willing, something simpler to band aid it until I replace the pump with out having to dip too deep into my pockets.

mine has a similar leak which is coming from the pitman arm seal. I went to go fix it last weekend, but couldnt get the damn pitman arm off; even with a puller. So I decided to just put some lucas power steering leak fluid in and bingo...that stopped the leak. Leaks a tiny bit, but nothing major.

try some power steering stop leak like he say they have several kinds out there. some time they work great but all depend on how bad or wear the seal are. and if keeps leaking u have no choice but replace the seal think its no war around.

see if u can see what cause the seal to leak. check the gears for wear. some times when they wear everything have more movement side to side on shaft and thats how the seal start to leak.
