Default Power problems

I have a 93 f150 and I lost all electrical power. My noat battery died so I jumped it with my truck. I had it hooked up with jumper cables for about 15 minuets and then I shut my truck off, when I went to start it back up I turned the key over and it clicked( like a loose terminal or bad connection somewhere but I checked them all). I tried bump starting it but nothing. Any ideas???

I do think u might have fired your alt. If u have anything like a cd player with a system in the truck MAKE SURE u CUT everything OFF before u jump anything off with it.. If u don't u can or will fired everything else also..

You fried your solenoid on the fender wall. It is on the passenger side fender wall and has the red battery cable hooked to it. Turn the truck on and jump the two posts with a heavy duty screwdriver and see if the truck turns over.

The alternator would be fried if his battery were dead. It he still gets the solenoid to click thus he has power.

If it were my solenoid would the coast start have worked? Someone suggested I may be ICM (ignition control module)? Anyone know if that may cause a loss of all electrical power while having 12 volts at my battery? Part is $50 I'd rather have a second opinion before changing it.

Turn the truck key to the on position. Open the hood. Go to the passenger side fender wall. Follow the battery cable to the solenoid. There will be two posts. Using a screw driver make a connection between the two posts. See if you get power back. Yes if you blew the solenoid completely out you would lose all power. By jumping the solenoid it will tell you if it is good or bad. When you jump it the truck should turn over. Check the fusable link there as well.

The ICM has nothing to with anything but ignition and if you have no power in the first place you have no ignition. I am betting you fried the solenoid and maybe that fusable link there as well. All power to the truck runs through that solenoid not the ICM.

Holy **** dude. Atleast tell the poor guy to put it in neutral before testing the solenoid. Lol. He never said if he has a manual tranny or not.

Haha I'll be sure to put it in neutral first it is a standard...tonight is my first night workin on it I'll let u guys know how it goes... Thanks
