Default Power!!!

96 f150 5.8 doesn't seem to have the power to mantain a steady speed on the hiway what's the deal?

Because real trucks have glow plugs. Hahah. Jk. My 4.9 I6 does just fine on the highway. Maybe your 5.8 needs a tune up.

I just done a tune up except the fuel filter but my rear tank is pushing gas into the front tank would that have anything to do with it I checked my fuel regulator and its good

If the fuel pressure is low then yes you will have a lack of power.

Would I loss pressure if my if my tanks are doing that?

Does it run poorly from both tanks? If your in tank FDM s are bypassing then instead of the fuel going to the engine, its going to the deselected tank.

Were me, I would dig into the fuel system and fix it. I would get a pressure gauge and check fuel system pressure to see if there are weak pumps in addition to the bypassing check valves.
