nope...
but if you match port it to the intake you WILL lose port velocity and a little low end power....
you might as well get a metal timing gear set with a 4 degree advance in it and advance the cam....that will help low end power

ok thanks. do you know at what rpm a stock 4.9l redlines and what would be an expected redline for a built and ported 4.9l?
im just wondering bc my 94 4.9l blew its head gasket and its time for a total rebuild. i would like to get some more power when im finished with her.
