cn someone please tell me what the thing is that goes into the valve cover by the oil cap? it has a hose that runs from it to air box its a black circular thing that just plugs into valve cover. in this pic, its the black thing behind oil cap

It is your secondary or High RPM PCV system. At low RPMs vacuumed keeps your crankcase scavenged. At high RPMs your vacuum drops so they need to pick it up from the air box. The breather is the little filter looking thing in the airbox that the black pipe hooks too.

well, when i go to napa to get a new one what do i ask for? just a basic pcv valve, or pcv valve elbow?

I'm not sure that NAPA would have one. They don't go bad unless you break one somehow.

Let me see if LMC carries them and if so, I'll find out what they are called.

LMC calls it a PCV Elbow, but they don't carry it for the 95 model year.

i got one from orielly for 3 dollars mine was damaged is there spose to be a pcv valve in it?

No, The PCV valve goes in the back of the valve cover.

The PCV is in the rear of the cover under the intake, that's just a breather.
