Assuming the non-ethanol regular is also unleaded, and the unleaded is no more than the standard 10% ethanol - IMO, whichever is cheaper.

The regular 87 is cheaper. I was just wondering if running the gasoline with out the additives and crap would be better for the motor.

Non methanol. Methanol is not good in our trucks, its a corrosive and will destroy rubber hoses and seals, and burns more than reg gas. The brain dead enviro liberal feds are just pushing their fake phoney global warming agenda on us thinking meth will clean the air.

As I understand things - the alcohol has an affinity for water, thus the corrosion concerns. Ethanol is the standard type of alcohol blended into fuel for general use, methanol is typically reserved for racing vehicles. Ethanol comes from plants (corn, sugar cane, switchgrass, etc) where methanol comes from coal or natural gas. I haven't heard of methanol use being widespread, but it's out there being researched and trialed in select regions.

When fuel injection first became mainstream in the mid 80s or so, Congress or the EPA mandated that some level of detergent must be added to all fuel. Whether this level is adequate remains the stuff of arguments about the use of fuel injector cleaners.

A 10% blend, whether it be ethanol or methanol, isn't likely to cause problems. Some refiners use this as a cheap way to get a couple-three more octane points - suggesting that the base fuel may not need to be as good.

If you have concerns, and the non-ethanol fuel meets the 87 octane requirement of our vehicles and doesn't result in pinging - go with it.

Just come on up to Missouri - while we have a mandate that ethanol-blended gasoline is required, there's a gotcha in that the requirement only applies whenever the ethanol blend is less expensive than the straight fuel.

Been watching this the past few months with my flex-fuel Impala. The computer figures out the percent alcohol in the fuel, presumably to adjust the injector firing widths. So far, it has read zero percent each time I've looked - even with fuel prices north of $3.50.

Then again, the computer may have a problem, after all it is just a BowTie. :-)~

So I'm assuming it'd be better to run the non-ethanol for non-corrosive activity?

Yes, also for mileage, the more methanol the less mileage.
