Default oil pressure switch

i have tried looking this up on the computer so i didnt have to ask such a dumb question, BUT i am about to replace my oil pressure switch on my 1990 F150 Lariat, 5.0 302 Automatic. I learned it is on the oil filter housing and i found the wrench to undo it from measuring the new one. however there are two different threads on the actual switch and i was wondering how exactly does it come off? it seems it is screwed into the filter housing but then what is attached to the other side and how do i take that off. i had to leave the location where my truck is to find internet to figure out how to do this, so i am unable to look at the truck. thanks in advance guys

There's a wire on it, unplug that. Then unscrew it.

The pressure sending unit on the 302 is right behind where the power steering pump bolts on. It just screws right into the block. I'll put a pic up so you can kinda see where it is. Its the shiny fitting in the yellow circle. Yours obviously wont have a shiny fitting but thats where it goes.

Yeah once upon a time it was in my truck....rip. If I knew at 18 what I do now it would still be in there. I had no idea how to make the SFI work so the motor ended up getting parted out to pay for the old engine to get rebuilt. Was a 385 hp 302...
