You can find a good used Autometer or something comparable for less than a hundred bucks.

depending on what size you want i got a 1in sunpro tack for 32 bucks if you want one with a shift light that will be around 100 bucks the monster tachs with a shift light 130+ the small simple ones will be the best for our trucks.

I do recommend doing a Google search for something you will like and can live with there is a lot of different styles out there from digital ones to manual sweeps.

Someone is an idiot. Never listen to someone, somebody, so and so, or people say. All are uninformed or want to mislead you.

FWIW, There are 4 wires. Power to tach, Power to light, Ground, Signal that hooks to your coil. Easy.

You can, go to the junkyard or buy from somebody parting a truck like yours and get a gauge panel with a Tach in it. The wiring is already in your truck. Just plug it in.
