Default No STI plug

Ok I have a 87 F150 with 5.0 FI. It started to cut off just after start up it will start right back up after two or three time it would stay running but would have some surging when stop, no check engine light came on so I when looking for the STO & STI to look for code I have the STO but could not find the STI Never seen the Check engine light on so pulled the dash down to check the light the ligh was good but the plug to the dash was dark so I started to clean the pins and see that thare is no contack or wire for the check engine light. Any one have any thing on this.
Thanks

'87 doesn't have a check engine light even though there is a spot for it on the dash. You need to use a voltmeter to check codes.

Plus your truck is OBDI and the GM should be OBDII.

WOW! That's pretty new to their line. First time I've seen it! Great price too.
