Question New front bumper!

I stopped by the local junk yard and they had my bumper i wanted the all black with just two holes for the license plate. now its from maine so it needs work but what should i do, Undercoat it or rock guard it? powder coat...

It needs to be black so most of them will work.

what would withstand salty roads harsh weather and so on best?

I'm thinking Powerder coating would be the top of the line already know it will cost 120 bucks...

Cool! I cannot really advise given I have chrome bumpers, but I replaced my front bumper as well when I bought my truck. It was SO ugly and had "patchwork" done to it...ugg. I found one on Craigslist for $50 and drove an hour one way to get it out on some desolate back road. New one is MUCH better.

Paint it the same color as the truck. It will look sportier.

If you do any bondoing, powdercoat is out of the question...

I have heard of people using spray-in bed liner also...you'll definitely have the only rust-free bumper in Maine then!!

You could build up the bad spots with weld then grind smooth. Then powdercoat.
