Can some one tell me what this plug is on my tranny? Been looking for the back up light switch and this is the only thing I have found.

 

There is only one plug on the '92-'96 M5OD, the reverse lights.

 

Well the original trans on my truck was replaced with a manual trans by the previous owner and he never hooked up the reverse lights.

 

Just answering your question. You need to find the MLPS plug and pull out the reverse light wires.

No, it will be a plug just hanging there because there isn't a MLPS to plug into anymore.

The wiring harness that went into this will have the wires for the reverse lights. One I believe is a black and pink wire for the rev light circuit, not sure of the other wire, have to look at my diagrams.

That would be nice. Backing up in the dark is fairly hard because of no reverse lights
