Default Need Help!

1995 F-150 4.9 6 cyl.

My truck runs great when I first start it up. After i shut it off after it has trouble starting and let it sit for anytime longer than 5 minutes it doesn't want to start and if it does start it seems to run really bad sort of as though it is not getting enough gas(idles choppy). I have already replaced spark plugs, plug wires, coil, and my fuel filter and it still does this. I do not have a problem with this in the winter months (Michigan) it only seems to start doing this in the summer when it is warm out and after i have run the truck. I am not sure what to check next. I am pretty sure it has to do with something getting hot but I am not sure what it is that is getting hot.

Please Help me!

Thanks,
Josh

It's mostlikely getting the injectors hot due to the intake being on the same side as the exhaust. Mine does that when it's 85 to 100 out

Sorry, but that makes no sense. If that were true, there wouldn't be a running 4.9 in the south during the summer! Hmmmmm

Have you checked for trouble codes?

Do the code check. Both key on engine running and key on engine off. Instructions are listed at the top of the forum.

are you using ethanol? sometimes in the summer they don't run right if you use that crap.
