Cool Minor change in look....

Got bored the other day, when washing the truck, wanted to check out paint under chrome fender trim. Well got it off and, MAN, like the look allot better..

Paint wasnt in bad shape, so I polished that area up and applied little wax..

BEFORE... with chrome fender trim

AFTER... minus fender trim

Plus teaser 351 pictures... getting close to install... waiting to get headers Jet-hot coated, and intake powder coated...

It's looking good. Next you'll have to remove the side trim.

I think it looks great without the trim, i pull the rest off and i would even swap out the chrome mirrors for some powder coated black ones. I would black out or color match all the chrome. Kinda making a sleeper with that motor. It be sweet, exhaust cut out. oh ya

yeah remove the trim on the sides, paint the bumper the same as the truck. ( i traded my stock one with a guy that had an xl he liked the chrome, i liked it completely plain, not trim but painted) put a roll pan on the rear, paint the grill, and headlight bezels and the windshield trim. It will look killer!

Wow! I'm gonna have to try pulling the fender trim off of mine! I don't have any rust showing, but I wonder what's hiding under there... When the weather warms up, we'll see.

I couldn't remove the side trim without a repaint - mines an XLT with navy top/silver bottom. If I ever repaint it though, that trim will be in the trash can.

The truck looks great - and that sexy motor should be in my truck!
