I have been trying to remove them with a breaker bar and a 3/4 in socket, but the socket seems a little big and I'm afraid of stripping them. Anyone know how big they are without the chrome covering? Should I squirt them with WD40? Any other ideas? Don't want to break anything!
I used to change over the wheels on my gravel truck up north,
no air or power tools.
Just get ur self a breaker bar and a 4 foot chunk of pipe always set it so ur lifting up
not pushing forward. They will come off…. Or at least break the studs.

If u want to avoid braking wheel studs id first try getting a breaker bar and
tapping it with s small sledge hammer.

Don’t be shy with the WD 40 and good luck!

19 mm if it's a torque to tighten and 18 if the chrome cover came off. Otherwise it could be a 21mm and 20 if the cover came off. What year truck? I'll be able to tell ya if I knew the year.

When you get them off, re-torque to 100 ft lbs. I've never had a problem with mine.

I don't get stuck. I just lose traction and stop moving!

I have a compressor and a crapload of nail guns but I don't use air mechanics tools. Everyone gives me crap for it too.

hammer on a 18mm socket and use a long ratchet with a pipe on the end. then get some new lug nuts with on aluminum cover.
