ive got the same exact problem the little orange light doesn't even come on. But I don't really need it 4hi works good enough.

not exactly the same... my low range light is always on, even in 2wd

You guys have hi low lites? Man I must have a poor boy truck. I only have a 4x4 lite.

on my dash cluster I have only a 4x4 light, I mean the lo range button and the red LED next to it are always lit while the 4hi button is only lit when in 4wd

My truck just a pauper. It has no buttons or hi lo lites. Just a lonely 4x4 lite which manually needs to be put into 4x4.

Shift into N then put 4x4 on low.

sounds stupid but worth a try. mine does same thing but i figured it out. put it in 4HI...drive forward a little....stop....(keep foot on break entire time)....put it in neutral for a sec.....then into reverse.....then neutral again....now hit the 4LO button and see if it works.....sometimes the internals of the tcase needs the pressure takin off them.......

LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS!!!
