Default Loss of power

I was driving up parking ramp in my 96 V-8,5.0L, and engine stalled. Started back up, but had periodic hesitation. Changed fuel filter that evening, added bottle of fuel injection cleaner and ran ok for 30 minutes next morning, but got on interstate and had temp decrease in power(didn't stall) which lasted maybe 1/8 mi. Got to my destination, shut off engine for 15-20 min then drove about a mile when check engine light came on.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks, Steve

Go to autozone or advanced auto and they can run what tripped the CEL for free, but they can't clear it for you. That.will tell you what is wrong with your power from the engine

Run what tripped your CEL? You mean pull codes? Only if its OBD II. Can't remember if 96 was when all vehicles were switched to OBD II...

Autozone - diagnostic code was "P1151, HO2S, 2/1, Insuffiecient Switching, lean Mean", Tech said it indicated a sensor problem. Couldn't tell me much more than that. I also have noticed that I am burning a TON of gas. According to my fuel guage, I burned 3-4 gallons to go less than 30 miles.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve

Running lean but you're still using lots of fuel? Sounds like two problems. Dual tanks? Could be crossfilling. Time to do a fuel pressure test.

I've taken it to a shop, tech said he jiggled the wiring harness for the computer and the codes cleared. He is almost positive it is the computer and recommends replacing. I haven't done yet.
It ran OK for a day but has since been acting same (occasional loss of power - like engine is flooding out. Esp. When accelerating at higher speeds, also lots of knocking & pinging when accelerating) Runs worse w/AC on & getting 8-9MPG.

Sounds more like the plug not the computer.

Is there a test to determine if the computer is going bad? I've seen something about a frost test?? How is this done? Reliable? How about a way to test the plug (wire harness) that plugs into the computer?
Also, in response to previous post, no she doesn't have dual tanks.
Thanks
