Default locks dont work

hey guys. i have came across something the other day when i went to a big city and wanted to lock my doors. i cant. i have power everything. when i push the lock button, only the pass side locks. it will unlock with the button as well. on the other hand, i can not lock or unlock either door with the key. both doors will allow the key to enter the whole, but will not turn either way.

i looked down into my drivers side door and the rod attached to the "thing that goes down" when you lock the door. when i try to push that thing down to lock it manually from the inside, the rod bends. are they supposed to be able to bend? :/ hmm. if any of this didnt make sense explain and then i will re-explain. thanks anyone and everyone!!

btw. i live on a college campus, and it would really SUCK if i cant lock my doors
-aftermarket stereo
-aftermarket stereo equipment
-aftermarket speakers
-extra (expensive) lights
-and sometimes my laptop

The power door lock actuator is siezed on the drivers side. If you unhook it you will be able to manually lock and unlock the door. When they are seized you can't use the key either, but I don't see why the key isn't working for the passenger side. Maybe the lock needs some lube.

I'm having the same prob with my drivers side but it just takes alittle wiggling to get it it to lock, replacing actuators when it gets warmer out
