Default Let's see some ponies

Alright boys, need some help on this one.

So my 95 f150 is sadly MAP, thus meaning i have the e4od transmission(which i have no problem with) other than the fact it screws me out of making power. I know with the o so fantastic MAP i can't do jack squat to my truck. Anyone have any recommendations for this? I don't necessarily have to keep the transmission. I just want a truck thanks not people would call a steer, all show and no go. But, i would like to have the overdrive in a transmission too. Don't wanna get rid of the EFI. If ya don't have much of anything...i'm just saying screw it, we're dropping a 7.3 powerstroke in this baby.

Ohh I had no idea you couldn't keep the E4

5 speed swap time?

You could put on a free-er flowing exhaust system, under drive pulleys and put 4.10s or so in the rear. Should be a big seat of the pants difference, and help acceleration

It doesnt mean you have to get rid of your trans...they make stand alone controlers for those. I know mass-air.com has one. I would def go that route, get a stand alone and convert to mass air. How much power you looking to make?

Get rid of efi. Put on carb. More power more mileage.

But also more messing around to keep your A/F correct. But if you know what you're doing(I don't) then there's no issues... 'Cause you know what you're doing haha

O my exhaust flows fine, shorty flowtechs with 12 inch glass packs no cats........I would get a stand alone controller but things are what, 600 bucks? Maybe worth it though. Power wise, I'm thinkin a lot ha. Around the area of 500. Extensive, i know. But, I love trucks much more than cars. I want to build a truck that can smoke all these stangs around here. Mainly, just to say I did.

I agree with you there! i would definitely go maf and get the controller, besides, a diesel probably won't smoke anything, unless you do alot of work to it, but by then you would have spent wayyyy more than just building up your current engine.
