Why would you need resistors? The flasher controls the speed of the blink. When hooking up the additional lights of a trailer you have to switch to a heavy duty flasher so they blink correctly. Wouldn't a heavy duty flasher take care of that for the LEDs too?
The leds use less power. When your blinker bulbs burn out the other one I. The circuit stays on to warn the driver. So when the led is installed the power isn't "detected" (if you will) and engages the warning.
Put a resistor in the circuit and everything operates normally. I had to deal with that on two of my trucks.

I also have the led dome lights. Advanced auto sells a kit that comes with the needed adapter to plug right in. Its brighter than all hell and sets you back 20 mcchickens but definatly worth it. That yellowish white cover pulls right off but don't squeeze to hard. It will break.

do you know the bulb size? or should i just go to advanced and ask them for it? do you know the brand?

Just remove the bulb that's in there now, and bring it in. That's what I'm going to do. Yes brand would be nice if known

I put a blue light in there that matched and it wouldn't even light

LED? Most are polarized, did you flip it around the other direction?

Dome light worked before? ha ok, i got a picture of my original bulb, its a 211-2, and its an inch and a half long.
