Default leaking fuel?

We have a '93 F150 that appears to have just started leaking gas out of the front bumper! LOL, no really....there seems to be a leak in the front of the engine compartment and we are not sure where it's coming from. It's dripping or running down and leaving a spot on the frame that can be seen through the passenger side wheel well.

Ok this is where my lack of knowledge shows. There is a small "bottle" with lines running to it next to the battery. The drip seems to be showing up under this spot, could this be where the problem lies? Are there any know problems in this area that could be the cause?

Thanks,
Julie

Well.....I think so....I swiped my finger through it and it smelled like gas. We haven't exactly nailed down the source of the leak, it's possibly it could be running from somewhere else, and just getting to the lowest point before it drips off.

Thanks,
Julie

pretty sure thats where your gas fumes get vented to from motor then back to tank but not sure. it shouldnt have raw fuel in it though. Is the front pump broken and are you just running on back? thats all i can think of is the front tank becoming pressurized.

Yes, we can't use the front tank, just running on the back. So, if the front tank is becoming pressurized, what do we need to do to correct?

Thanks!

I think you are describing the charcoal canister,on my 93 it sits under the
battery. The "coffee can" is on the fender apron between the battery and
the firewall.
