Default intake?

I have a 96 f150 with the 302 what I was wantting to do is put a intake off a 93 5.0 mustang intake on to my truck. I have been told it wouldn't work and wouldn't help with a power increase? I also have the shorty headers from the same car to go on the truck.

Any input would be great

The truck manifold is better than the Mustang one.

But wouldn't the mustang intake let more air in? Better lower end power also? If not what can I do to the truck intake to help it out? What about the mustang headers

from what i remember from another thread on here many moons ago about swapping intakes is that the truck intake is better because it gives better low end torque vs the mustang intake which is made for top end power. here's the link to it https://www.f150forum.com/f10/mustan...ke-swap-52565/
as for the headers, i don't know. i don't know if anyone has ported their intake but that normally helps it flow better.
