Default Jacking up rearend

Was wondering if anyone knew how to jack up the rear of a 95 singlecab short bed if I'm removing the axel and leaf springs and have no where to put the jackstands and jack. I'm thinking I can use a tractor jack and raise up the bumper to hold the back up.

Apparently you need larger/taller jack stands. I got by fine with my normal sized ones changing my rear though.

You will need to park on a hard, level surface and block the front wheels. I will actually put mine into 4 wheel drive just as an extra precaution. You can use a regular floor jack or a high lift/farm jack. If your truck is lifted you might need to put something under a floor jack like a railroad tie or some 4x4 lumber (probably not the safest way) Then just get some jack stands and place them under the frame rails and lower the truck on to the stands. Hope this helps.

Thanks Guy I appreciate the input. I'll put jackstands under the frame rails. It's a stock height single cab short bed flareside.

I'm doing a flipkit on the axel in the rear and putting on lowering shock.

No, I just have one spare tire (235x75xR15) in the bed, two 3-ton jackstands, and a 2.25ton hydraulic jack. Im thinking of putting concrete squares under the jacks to bring the rear up higher and Im going to put jackstands under the frame.
