You sure you don't mean a 2001 intake from a mustang?
If you do it should fit if it was when they still put in the 5:8 before they swaped to the 5.4 but if it is an '01 intake its the same thing as a gt-40 intake the runners are just more in a diamond arrangement and can support 350 hp

It's an entirely different engine. It designed with a different purpose and I don't even think it will bolt on. I suppose if you go buy a block of billet a machine shop can blueprint and cut something for under $1000. But that's kinda silly don't you think. Even if it does fit its designed to work with variable timing. You won't gain any performance or mpg. I believe the Expedition intake for that year provided some gains.
