X2 on the muffler. On the air filter/ intake there are basically 2 thoughts on this board. From my research and training, I believe the factory intake with the cold air scoop ( if its still there) that comes over the radiator mount is the best bang for the buck. Just replace the paper filter with a drop in high flow like a K&N. The intake opening has almost the same volume as the throttle body and it is in a high pressure area forcing in cold outside air. The other group has some good reasons for believing that a large cone filter bringing collecting warm air from inside the engine bay is the best way to go for mpg. To get all the details just search the board for cold air intake and warm air intake.

You basically have two options regarding intakes for your truck. And this is assuming it's a V8.

1) Get your factory lower intake ported
2) Purchase an Edelbrock aftermarket intake

I don't know what engine you have (put the info in your sig for the future), but my '92 5.0 uses the K&N 33-2023. Amazon has them for $32.99 out the door. Alternatively, Advance Auto has them for $48.99. If you add a $1.01 filler, you can knock $20 off with code PAYPAL and pick it up locally.

Whatever you want. You just need to go above $50 to get the $20 coupon.

For $1, I'd grab a pack of paper towels, can of brake cleaner, oil filter, etc. If you have something more expensive that interests you, there are plenty of other coupons. Here's the list I know:
Coupon Codes: (written as $ off, minimum order $, CODE, % saved)
10/30 VISA 33.33%
20/50 PAYPAL 40.00%
30/75 VISA 40.00%
40/100 CCABIN 40.00%
50/150 VISA 33.33%

P20 also works for 20% off, so it's good if you have something cheap to pick up that the $10 off 30 code doesn't help with. If you go above $75 after coupon, they'll ship it for free.
