The push start is a good idea, I'll look in to that. I did notice the plug that the actuator rod goes in to seems to be missing whatever tabs hold it in place. Would that prevent the key from staying in the "on" position? I'm going to zip tie it down for now and see what happens. Thanks for the feedback!

You are referring to the switch on the column? The rod itself is a Mickey-Mouse pot metal POS that runs down the top of the column and then underneath the actual ignition switch that is bolted to the column. Undo the mounting bolts and push the slide all the way forward with a screwdriver. If it starts then either adjust the switch position on the column or replace the rod

Thanks for the info everyone, I zip tied the "mickey-mouse" POS (definitely agree there!) down to the column since the tabs are broken and everything works again
