idle problems
I have an 92 f150 4+4 5.0 engine and a E40D trans, About a week ago i noticed my truck started cutting out at idle its a bad miss almost like its going to die also, when im going up a hill the truck is has harly any power and it will kinda jerk and take off? any ideas as to what this could be?
P.S. my ignition coil looks like it is getting very wet when it rains could this be the problems?

Pour bottle of Sea-Foam Fuel Injection Cleaner into one gas tank and drive it.
Are you buying your gas at the same Gas Station as always?
If the Gas Station's underground gas storage tank was really low when you pumped your fuel, you could have gotten some water.
I've seen several vehicles that could not even leave the Store's parking lot after filling up when a underground tank was near empty, the Store Gas Pump Filter will catch most of the trash, but not catch/filter the water though.
Was an 18-Wheeler unloading fuel just before or while you were pumping your gas?
If I see a fuel truck unloading fuel; I go somewhere else and I'm sure you do to.
Did you run one tank really low on fuel before you switched tanks?
Could have sucked-up trash into the Strainer/Filter on the bottom of the fuel pump inside your gas tank.
Does the engine act the same with either gas tank?
If you see water on your coil, the Distributor Cap got wet also and it could have a hair-line crack causing the problem.
To check it; Release Cap from top of distributor and tilt the cap to spray W/D 40 penetrating fluid or a spray electrical cleaner inside the cap, just flood it and re-install, if it had moisture inside, it will be gone until it gets wet again, drive truck to determine if you need a new cap or not.
If you do, replace Rotor and Distributor Cap with one of the Copper/Brass electrodes instead of the aluminum electrodes caps, the aluminum electrodes will corrode.
