Yea, it unbolts right off. You might have to drill the frame to install it on the new truck though.

x2 i have seen some knuckle heads weld their hitch on though..

but yes, a DIY'er can do it. i believe it's 4 bolts and it's off. but i think the bolt holes are pre-drilled because i believe a hitch was a factory option, so the holes should be already drilled if i'm not mistaken.

Looked at it this morning, looks pretty simple 4 bolts. But will i be able to get the brake control stuff thats wired up, or is it just wired to that connector for lights etc? Will be doing that when I have time before its scrapped. still have doors, engine w 31,000 miles, transmission has 60,000 .

your new truck should be pre-wired for a brake control connector. but you could just trace the wires from the connecter to wherever they begin and install it on your truck if it's not already there.

olso, trailer brakes is a nice add-on too if you ever haul anything big. pretty easy to install too. have them on my truck and it's awesome for the track days!

you wont get much for it, the salvage yards around here sell them for 50 bucks for fullsize and 40 for smaller trucks,

you can get them new for 100-200 bucks depending on the brand

i looked up your drawtite and it is 137 brandnew.

I recently bought one that came from a 96 and installed on my 91. $50 with the bolts, nuts, and washers Six bolts - had to drill the holes. Easy to remove. Not too hard to install if you have a good drill and 1/2 inch drill bit.
