Anybody got any suggestions on some inexpensive mods I can do that will increase horse power. See after lifting my truck and putting 35's on it, theres a little loss in power. I have been told to cut the cat off, but I don't know if that will work do to the fact that if I cut the cat off my exhaust will be alot louder and I'm not sure how loud it will be.

 

you could get a new exhaust, a CAI, tuner, underdrive pulleys, high flow cats, you could regear, you could upgrade your ignition, you could get some headers, those are just a few bolt ons that arent expensive that could get you started

 

You can install a K&N high-flow air filter for about $50. They(K&N) say you will gain about 9-10 horses.

 

put in a jet chip it'll be a whole other truck

 

So like just the performance chip, cause I looked at the website and theres one for different things.

 

would a jet chip for a 95 f150 with the 351 make that big of a difference?

 

yeah their are diffrent stage jet chips i usally would go for the mid performance one to much might not be good. and yeah if you add a jet chipp to your 351 you should deff see a big diffrence i know i did i jus have the 5.0 though. But for the record a chip deff will step it up.

 

i personally have seen two tests where they tested the HP difference between cats and mufflers, and there was a ONE HP difference on both... if that ONE hp is that important to you during your street driving, then i say do it, but if not, dont even bother with it.
