Default help! found box unplugged....

Okay so what I have is a 1994 Ford F150 5.0 4X4. I've been having troubles with my wipers and while investigating into that, I found a black box located behind my glove box that was unplugged. So I un-bolted it to take a look at it and on the other side it says "F3TF-2C018-AB A 0720596 CIV" then underneath that it says "SINGLE REAR WHEEL ONLY"
I have absolutely no idea what it's for. I found it unplugged and I don't know if it should be unplugged or if I should plug it back in. Can anyone enlighten me on what it is?

Total guess but...... Trailer brake controller? Have you tried googling the number?

Come on guys. Allot easier to Google than to guess. ABS module. I know some things seem difficult, but its only as difficult as you make it.

I don't think so. There's no button or display or anything on it. And if it was a trailer brake controller, why would it be hidden behind the glove box?

I tried googling it but everything I tried seemed to not work. But thanks for the answer. I'm assuming I should plug the harness in then since I found it unplugged?

Yep! All I did was Google the part number that you posted. Click on the image tab and bingo. 500 photos of it with the same single rear wheel wording and the part number.

This abs box is usually disconnected to stop speedometer from bouncing.

Or if the ABS light was on and somebody didn't want to fix it. Or some just don't want ABS
