Default Hello

Have been trying to get ANY response from ANYONE who could give me some insight as to what to expect when I put F-250 rear springs on my 1988 F-150

Expect a 2" height difference.

Is there any particular year of springs that I should look for that will bolt up easier than others?

Go to broncograveyard.com. Order your springs from them. They specialize in 7/8/9 generation f-series and broncos.

Whatever year category your truck falls into. And the new springs fall into should work.

If your truck is 4wd and you have a factory lift block you could buy shorter U-bolts and remove the block. Keeping the truck the same height.

If its 2wd. It's gonna look goofy because the back will be really high.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that the f250 springs may be wider. So you'd need new mounting hardware. Id wait til you get the springs to figure that out if you aren't in a hurry. Then you'll know for sure

I think f150s have 2.5 inch wide springs, f250s have 3 inch wide springs. That would mean shackles, hangers, hardware

I believe 2x4 150s have 2.5" wide springs and 4x4 150s and f250s have 3"

Is that enough answers? Considering there are about 100 threads answering that same question if you did a little search.Kind of rude to berate us for not answering when you won't take the time to use the search engine on your first post. Having said that ill be happy to help with any more specific questions.

Thanks for the replays to what I thought was a simple way to get some info from people that like to talk about trucks no matter the question.... Sorry if you think your too good to talk about a simple topic and feel like I am belittling you in some way. Again thanks to the rest of you that responded without any gripes.
