dont worry, some people dont like new comments on an old question. if it weren't for questions being contentiously asked about the same question, this forum would be dead.

So back to the original topic... What should i anticipate when I try to put 250 springs on my 88 150? I will be getting the 250 springs from a j-yard so I'm trying to figure lengths, bolt dia , pin locations etc.... Any input will help as I am going to have to some traveling to the j-yard so any info acquired before hand will help immensely.

Ok now we have something to work with. I wish I could be more help I don't have much info on leaf springs conversions, but I know its been done. I would recommend doing a search for straight axle conversion. I know others have done it. I think 7700 Alberta has. From memory I believe you would have to mock up the springs and drill the frame rail for hangers using the springs as templates. I do know you will want good new grade 8 bolts. I'm sure someone else will join in with more info. No hard feelings, I just didn't like reading a post that started with I have been trying to get someone to reply then ask what appeared to be a repeat question. We all try to respond quickly with helpful info.

now that you mention it, it will probably be much easier to just ask 7700alberta about the conversion.
